Our garden, located in the 93706 area, is an urban growing space rooted in environmental justice and community education. In a neighborhood where soil contamination from decades of environmental racism is a real barrier, we focus on teaching alternative ways to grow food safely—using raised beds, repurposed wood, and other sustainable methods. The garden also serves as a hands-on space for learning composting, waste reduction, and land stewardship, showing how everyday materials can be transformed into eco-friendly systems that feed families. Together with our pantry distribution sites, the garden helps close the gap between local abundance and community access by empowering people to grow, share, and care for food right where they live.
